Privacy Policy

Overview

ScreenCapturePro is a macOS screen recording application. It records a user-selected screen region along with system and microphone audio, and saves the result as an MP4 or MOV file directly to your local disk.

We built this app with privacy as a default, not an afterthought. There are no analytics SDKs, no crash reporters that phone home, no ad networks, and no accounts required.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

• Screen recordings or captured video frames
• Audio recordings
• Usage analytics or telemetry
• Device identifiers or IP addresses
• Crash logs sent to external servers
• Personal information of any kind

Permissions Used

The app requests the following macOS permissions solely to perform its core function. All processing happens locally on your device.

• Screen Recording — required to capture the selected screen region. Governed by macOS's Screen & System Audio Recording privacy control.
• Microphone — optional. Used only when you enable the microphone toggle before recording. No audio is processed or stored outside your chosen save location.

Permissions can be revoked at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security.

Saved Files

Recordings are saved to a location you choose on your Mac. The app does not upload, copy, or access these files for any purpose other than completing the save operation. You have full control over your files.

Third-Party Services

ScreenCapturePro does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or cloud storage providers. No data leaves your device.

Children's Privacy

The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because no data is collected at all, the app is safe for use by all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and post the revised version at the same URL. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
